First a little about me....My name is Tammy Brown. I am 45 years old, married to Scott with 2 wonderful sons. We live on a little piece of heaven in China Michigan we call "Black Sheep Farm". We raise chickens, and a couple of very cute ducks, we have a cat Babydoll and a giant dog Jorja Grace (sweet Jorja Brown- lol) The black sheep have come and gone but I'm always on the lookout for new creatures to add to our menagerie. My boys are in the 7th and 9th grades and keep us very busy with sports and adventures of all kinds.
I have taught at Woodland School for over 22 years....almost 1/2 my life has been spent in this building! I started volunteering here in High School, continued subbing and working summers through college and have had the opportunity to work in many classrooms throughout the building - from MoCI to SMI to SXI - from homebound teacher, teacher aide, 1-1 aide, to classroom teacher. I have taught in Room 113 for 22 years as teacher. My students are 12-14 years old and have Moderate Cognitive Impairments. |
Who are the students of 113.... |
Room 113 currently consists of 10 students and 3 teaching staff. I am truly blessed to have 2 of the most wonderful, flexible, motivated, caring, competent....I could go on for awhile....teaching assistants in the entire world! We are a powerful team!
My students have come to us with a variety of cognitive, physical, emotional and sensory impairments. We work hard every day to bring curriculum, communication, compassion and comedy to each and every student to help them be the best (insert individual name here) they can possibly be. |
